Had the most fantastic time, when we got there Doug had lit the fire for us and it was so nice and cosy. He popped in to make sure that we were all ok and happy with everything. We all had the most magical sleeps, the beds are amazing , a few to die for. Thank you so much for making our girls' weekend very special, with lots of lovely memories.

We have just come back from an amazing six night stay. Firstly, Doug is a very busy man, but is so responsive to messages, and patient with any changes to be made. The house is exquisite. Such a beautiful space, and so easy to live in. Quality appliances, and lovely bedrooms. We will miss the view from the shower. The location is perfect, with stunning sunrise and sunsets. The private beach is a gem. Spent many a night down there. Thoroughly recommend.

At the end of a long winding road, nestled in a valley is the Blue Batch. This well appointed Batch has a real "getaway from it all" atmosphere. The views are fantastic, the location perfect for those who want to fish, surf and dive for pau and lobster, although I did seem to loose a lot of tackle to the rocks and weeds. Lazing in the sun, exploring the beach, clambering up the peak, behind the house, to view the sunrise was all a part of the experience that is the Blue Batch. My only advice to those who wish to experience the Blue Batch is to stock up in Martinborough as this is the last shopping stop. The butcher next to the main Four Square is vey good and well worth a visit. All in all a wonderful experience. Thank you Doug and Sara for sharing your unique part of New Zealand.
