Was great to have a home base while back home for Xmas and New year's with my husband and 2 brother's. Pete and Lisa were fantastic host, the swimming pool was relaxing after a long day seeing all the near by attractions. Thanks to the boys for helping me start my car. Kereru Sleep out I highly recommend.
We were 7 friends who spent a night at KERERU in between walks and hikes in Waitomo. Pete was extremely welcoming and helpful. Even though we had enquired for 6 people and had not booked until last minute, he was very adjusting and made it easy and comfortable for us. The property is right off the highway so getting there is easy. Beautiful surrounded by farms and hills, the night sky is stunning with barely any light pollution. The sleepout is very neat and tidy with all amenities, appliances, linen and heating. Ample space to hang around and rest well for a large group of 7 like us. The animals on the property are plus 100 points :) We will surely stay again when visitng King country. Thank you!
When i booked this place for my family, i was a bit worried that the place is a bit isolated. we gave it a go. and we were there, it was amazing. surrounded by farms, horses, sheep, lovely people. The house itself was clean, everything was excellently arranged. Pete was very kind to allow us to use the swimming pool and the BBQ which everyone loved. it was a tremendous and memorable experience. I would strongly recommend this place especially to people who wants to go relax and next day do the Waitomo Caves.
