An absolute piece of delight! Basic yet practical cottage with everything one would need on a break. We were there for 3 days and Pete and Lisa's hospitality was second to none. We will surely go back again soon for a longer period. Highly recommended!

Hi everyone we just stayed here for 2 nights and I have to say the previous review is quite unfair! 4 adults and 3 children (1 in a wheelchair) a 7m disability van and a Britz camper - it was totally acceptable accomodation very spacious and suited us very well. Nice big bathroom with a laundry and seperate toilet. The owners are great, friendly and welcoming so if your travelling their way book in it’s quite a wonderful stay! Real kiwi experience! Thank you Lisa & Pete
Do not rent this sleepout - it is dirty, diplapidated and does not lock. The sleepout has holes in the carpet and the toilet has torn wallpaper. There are holes in the door in the main sleeping area, so a person in the garage outside could easily see into the room. The door with holes in it does not lock. The curtains in the sleeping area are mouldy and the lining hangs in torn strips. The bedding is the most disgusting aspect - it is extremely old, dirty and stained. My pillow slip had a big oily stain on it. There are only five stained, mismatched cups, some badly chipped and cracked. The pool outside the room was green with slime that added to the atmosphere of filth and decay. We left without staying the second night we had paid for because none of us felt safe or comfortable staying in the sleepout. I have asked the owner to refund the cost of the second night that we did not stay, but he has not replied to the email I sent two days ago. We are used to living simply, but this place was revolting and far beneath the standard of any holiday accommodation that should be legally allowed to be offered. No one would want to stay in such a horrible, dirty place with no locks on the doors.
