We were a party of 10 (originally 12 people but 2 had to pull out) and this large house with 6 bedrooms was ideal. Location was great, except that the parking was suitable for only 1 car and as the road was extremely busy, it was hard to back out. There is limited parking on the road so we had to park up a side street. Walking across the road was also a challenge. The front bedroom is very noisy due to the road traffic . There were 2 en-suite bathrooms downstairs and only 1 bathroom upstairs for the 4 bedrooms. There was an additional bathroom outside the kitchen on the verandah and luckily it wasn’t too cold for access. Minor maintenance needs to be done - upstairs bathroom handle was broken and needs to be replaced, the door in the bedroom with the single beds would not stay close, toaster handle broken. Overall though, a lovely stay especially with the spa, 2 large lounges downstairs and small kitchen and lounge upstairs, and a spacious kitchen with great cooking facilities.
Response from Owner
Oh my gosh - thanks for your feedback and so sorry everything wasn't up to scratch. Hate that! The bathroom door in particular. We had asked our builder to replace that back in February. So annoying. I have let our housekeepers know about the toaster. Hope you found the second one. Apologies also about the parking. We park two our cars (and FJ Cruiser and a Wrangler) in the front yard, one behind the other when we stay at the house. I'm starting to think we didn't send you our e-compendium which explains that you may also park any additional guest vehicles directly next door in the large park alongside our fence outside of business hours - and also sets out our very homegrown solution to the traffic noise in that front room. Am glad overall your stay was agreeable however. Nga mihi A & J
