About this Holiday House

Lake Rotoroa, Nelson Lakes. Bordering the National Park; 2 minutes walk to the lake. Modern 3 bedroom holiday home. Decks on east and west sides for relaxed dining. Two bedrooms downstairs: one with queen, one with bunks (double below, single above) and one upstairs (queen). Rotoroa is a wilderness lake. A peaceful, relaxing environment where there is no cellphone reception, and if you don't want to see anyone else, you won't. Walking (short or long; easy or hard), mountain biking, world class brown trout fishing, kayaking, bird watching, photography, gold fossicking, boating (but no waterskiing or wetbikes). Please note that this is not a ‘party house’ – we have neighbours who enjoy the quietness and wilderness aspects of this area as much as we hope you do. Two spinning rods and reels available - bring your own lures, and don't forget you need a fishing licence. There is also a fibreglass Canadian canoe (2 seater) with adult lifejackets - use at your own risk. Freeview and a DVD player. Also a Sky dish - bring your own Skybox. There is a 40" LCD screen to connect it to (all cables etc are there). Recently installed heatpump. And don't forget to bring the sandfly repellent - sometimes they can be a bit annoying.

The bach was great for our needs, well equipped, and has loads of books and games to pass the time. We really enjoyed our stay here. Lake Rotorua is a small community so there's not much of a difference in location, but the position of this home was nice being close to the lake and a very pretty forest walk. The description needs a bit updating though. The bedding is actually two queen beds and one double bunk, and there's a new heat pump installed which kept the place toasty. Expect a list of instructions to enter.

Really nice place, well equiped, close to the lake and tracks.

Nice comfortable holiday home with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean. Close to the lake and launching ramp. Would recommend to anyone wanting a holiday at Lake Rotoroa.
