About this Holiday House

Kupe’s Baches are situated at the bottom of the North Island in the Wairarapa region, with 200 acres of bush behind them directly adjacent to the “Aorangi Forest Park”. This dark, pristine Aorangi Forest Park being the core of our “Dark Sky Reserve” Kupes Retreat is a modern, sunny bach. Ranch-slider opens onto deck overlooking the Kaikoura ranges and Cape Palliser. Other sheltered deck and outdoor living area overlooks Cape Palliser Lighthouse. Pukeatua Pa site is behind with acres of bush walking opprtunities. Seal colony and Boat Bay are below the bach. If Kupe's Retreat and Kupe's Lookout are unavailable please ask about Kupe's Secret (Kupe’s Secret is just a few metres along the track adjacent to the fenceline/sea toward the lighthouse. It has the sea view, is very private and is nestled in the bush. A real secret!!) Cellphone coverage is available in some spots

It is an incredible batch!! Like the perfect holiday house in front of a seal colony, with very impressive views from the deck and with everything you need inside. Access is very easy, a few hours from wellington, nature and peace are the best way to describe this incredible house. Will return for sure. Very clear instructions on how to get there and inside. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Many thanks!!

Another great stay at Kupe's. Love this place the coastline, spectacular views, Cape Palliser lighthouse, just to name a few even got up to the Ngapotiki Fan and could see round to White Rock. Trevor was a great host again. Thankyou both
