Comfortable large separate sleep-out/studio in our private, sheltered garden. Very close to the village of Takaka. It contains a queen bed, dining table and chairs, fridge/freezer, sink with cold water only, electric jug and toaster, crockery and cutlery. There is separate access to your own bathroom /toilet/laundry in the main house and use of our large kitchen if you wish. You can eat in the many cafes and restaurants in the village and around the region. Takaka is a small village in Golden Bay,one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand. There are many wonderful walks and beaches, all within an hour's drive, and we are an hour's drive from the famous Abel Tasman National Park with its good huts and kayaking opportunities. We are two single women with part time jobs. We are easy-going, fun-loving, relaxed people. Henriette welcomes any opportunities to practice her Dutch, French and Bahasa Indonesia. Pauline would love to practice her little bit of Italian.

5 minute walk into the village, where there is a supermarket, chemist, clothes and hardware shops, and several cafes and restaurants. Many fantastic beaches good for swimming during Dec-April. Fishing, whitebaiting (September-November), salmon fishing (at Salmon farm), scalloping (need a boat), surf-casting, easy driving access to short bush walks and serious tramping (Heaphy Track, Abel Tasman, Kahurangi Nationa Parks. Kayaking, horse riding, sailing.
