- Superb golden sand beach
- Safe swimming & warm water in tidal estuary
- Flat camping sites around the house

Cleaning Expectation: Visitors to clean-up and leave the bach as found
Minimum stay:
Winter: 2 x nights. Summer: 3 x nights.
Bond $200 (applied if bach is not left clean & tidy)
Basic solar power. ie NO hair driers and / or heavy load electrical items. Laptops / iPods etc can be powered using 12volt cigarette lighter
Pedestrian access via bridge across stream and then easy 10/15 min walk to bach
Vehicle access requires crossing of Oruawharo tidal stream. 4x4 recomended. Sometimes have to wait for mid to low tide to cross with vehicle (not always) ....but worth the wait!

THe caravan currentlyis a larger newer one than that has the best bed on site now!! And no leaks

We had a fantastic time - the bach is in a great location and the solar power - gas fridge etc was fine too - the caravan was very cramped and leaked !! The bach is basic - but any thoughts you have about this is swept away ... Read more

Nearby attractions & activities
Beaches, fishing, walking, flying, golf, people watching . .If you are a diver (free or tank) crayfish are easy to find off the small island in front of Beach where tidal stream enters the sea. Sometimes kingfish here also . . tasty . .
