WELCOME
Smallfield is located in Springfield village at the base of Porters Pass on the Great Alpine Highway. Our place features awesome views of Castle Hill and Mt Torlesse to the West, and Mt Oxford and Mt Thomas to the North. Springfield is a great location for accessing the great outdoors as well as being a good place to relax and unwind. The cottage has a large bedroom and sleeping in the living area. It can accomodate up to five people but is ideally suited to one to three persons.
The cottage is 5 minutes walk from the railway station.
PLEASE NOTE
There is still some minor finishing work to do inside of the cottage. At present there is no carpet, and there is some painting and trim work to complete. However, it is very comfortable and warm.

It has the charm of a colonial cottage with the comfort of a modern home: log-burner, double glazing, insulation etc. The peace and quiet is wonderful, paddocks in the foreground, mountains behind. Close to the ski-fields and a short trip from Christchurch, which then felt a million miles away, perfect. I am looking forward to my next stay there. My only reservation in recommending Smallfield is that word might get out and I may have trouble getting a booking!"

Rates: MINIMUM STAY: 3 nights for public holidays; 4 nights for school holidays; 4 nights for Easter; 7 nights from Dec 26th till Feb 5th. TARIFFS: March to November: $90 per night for the first two nights, $75 per night for third and subsequent nights. December to February: $110 per night for the first two nights, $90 per night for third and subsequent nights. Maximum number of people permitted is five. No charge for children under three. Please pay a 20% deposit to secure your booking. Administration and rubbish removal are included in the above prices. OPTIONAL SERVICES: Linen and towels $30 per linen change. Departure clean $60.

Smallfield is a great easy care location to access all Canterbury ski fields. Had fantastic time. Best snow in the country. Springfield pub is a must for dinner and refreshments. Planning to be back next year.
