Barn B&B (Bed and Breakfast), $80 - $100

Starting from only $130 for 4 people including breakfast (low season) the 2 bedroom facilities at our hosted accommodation, the Barn Bed and Breakfast, represent great value at high standards.

After years of running a successful coastal holiday business we have now moved to new countryside premises in Redwood Valley (only10 minutes by car from Mapua, 5 minutes from Rabbit Island, 15 minutes from Richmond).

The accommodation comprises of a large room with queen bed for up to two people, leading directly to the private covered outdoor guest patio. An optional additional single room with bunk beds is available for guests from the same group (extra charge $30 for one person, $50 for 2).

Guests have a large private bathroom with power shower, vanity sink, and toilet on the lower floor (we do not have multiple guest groups so you will be assured of privacy). We have our own facilities on the upper floor.

In the morning, we will serve you your continental breakfast of toast, baked goods, cereals, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and juice outside in the guest patio area (weather permitting), in your room, or in the upper dining room.

Additional tea and coffee making facilities are in the Queen room, plus there is a fridge for the milk and your own drinks.

In the evening, you may wish to eat at one of the restaurants or takeaways nearby or a BBQ for guest use is also available.

Sky TV (including the movie channels) can be watched on the LCD TV in your room, plus we also include free WiFi so you can catch up on your emails or Facebook etc for those with their own laptops etc!

Set in large peaceful grounds planted with fruit trees, the barn overlooks some absolutely stunning rural views yet is only minutes from facilities.

Please note: some of the feedback on this page is from our other property so it is possible the facilities mentioned are no longer available. However, we are still the same proprietors (Tony and Carole) and we look forward to welcoming both former and new guests!

Trampers (hikers / walkers) will love the 1900 kilometres of track in the Nelson/Tasman region, e.g. the Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes & Kahaurangi National Park. Cyclists will enjoy the many cycleways and we have plenty of garage space to store bikes.

The bedrooms are on the ground floor so may be suitable for those with limited mobility.

Japanese guests are welcome as we have a speaker of Japanese to help with any translation

For Deaf guests we have a vibrating smoke alarm available to offer peace of mind.

Come and enjoy some peace and privacy. We have wonderful rural views over the valley yet are so close to facilities.
