Need a quiet place to get away from it all? This rural B&B is the place for you. The Burrow is a new building behind The Rabbiter's Cottage with wide covered verandahs on 2 sides. Surrounded by a belt of native trees visited by Tuis and Bellbirds with a rural outlook. Private access and off road parking for car and boat. Fish filleting area available with running water and an outdoor shower (cold). Linen for 2 provided and Continental Breakfast for The Burrows guests included in the price. Extra breakfasts for the campers available at a reasonable cost. Breakfast features fruit grown and preserved on site. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax or take advantange of the fishing (launch a boat off the beach or surfcasting), swimming, surfing, golf and tennis courts only 5 minutes drive away (or 15 minutes brisk walk). On a longer stay enjoy the various attractions of Masterton, Castlepoint and further away Mt. Bruce or Cape Palliser.

Cosy private 'Burrow', the pictures do not do it justice. Yummy fruit and homemade jams supplied, made and grown by Kris and Ash. Beautiful spot Riversdale and friendly locals. Cheers.

At the beach there is a challenging 9-hole Golf Links & tennis courts for hire. After the game you are welcome to use the clubhouse facilities including bar & Sky TV. You will need to bring your own equipment however golfclubs may be available on enquiry. During the summer months there is a Surf Patrol, surfing, horse-riding, canoeing, and fishing. Craypots and bait available on enquiry. The Riversdale Beach Store does meals, coffee, & takeaways which can be enjoyed on their large outdoor deck. They also offer postal facilities and liquor sales. Extra provisions for the BBQ can also be purchased.
