Torlesse Lodge is a fully equipped comfortable and warm house with great mountain views in Castle Hill Village. With 4/5 bedrooms, two bathrooms and two separate living areas, Torlesse Lodge sleeps 10- 12 persons. Only 1 hours drive from Christchurch towards Arthur's Pass by Craigieburn & Torlesse mountain ranges. Plenty of outdoor activities within minutes - skiing (Porter Heights, Mt Cheeseman, Broken River, and Craigieburn are all close at hand, with Mt Olympus, and Mt Hutt a little further away), climbing, tramping, rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, water skiing, caving, tennis court,petanque area. Castle Hill Village is a really friendly and safe environment for children.
Two bedrooms with queen beds (one upstairs, one downstairs), two upstairs bedrooms with two single bunkbeds in each. Two bathrooms, both with shower & toilet (one upstairs, one downstairs). Warm cosy open plan kitchen/living area with logburner & double glazing and heat venting system to upstairs bedroom. A second living area downstairs has a double fold-out sofabed and 2 single bunks (a great area for kids) with TV and sound system. Attractive outdoor area with outdoor furniture and gas barbeque. TVs in both living areas with Sky digital available (with your own decoder). Tennis court & petanque area in village, along with a rustic 9 hole golf course, and good tracks for walking, running, or mountain biking. The Castle Hill Village playground is just across the street and is a great spot for children, visible from the house.

Rates: A minimum stay of 2 nights is preferred. Between 12/6/2010 - 8/10/2010 (the ski season)preference will be given to weekly bookings and weekend bookings will not normally be accepted more than 3 weeks in advance. Children under 12 months at commencement of booking stay free. Linen can be provided, at an extra cost, by arrangement. Rental rates do not include cleaning which is the responsibility of the renter. Rates subject to change.

Availability: Torlesse Lodge is available to rent year round. A minimum stay of two nights is preferred. During the ski season,preference will be given to weekly bookings, and weekend bookings will not normally be accepted more than 3 weeks in advance. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a deposit. Payment of any balance due is required prior to commencement of booking.
