The Lodge is a fully self contained converted barn on a 20 acre property which has astounding views of Tongariro World Heritage Park. It is 20 mins drive from Whakapapa skifields and the Tongariro Crossing. 3 mins from the nearest bar and restaurant and 5 from National Park Village.It is also an ideal base for trout fishing and access to the Wanganui National Park. On the same property we also have "The Hut" which sleeps 4 so for larger groups of up to 15 the two options can be hired in combination.

In a previous life The Barn was in fact just that...a hay barn. We saw the potential and built it as our first home at Raurimu. We love antiques and early pioneering history so we have created The Barn with that love and passion in mind whether it be of a farming, railway, skiing, bushcamp or kitchen theme. However you will still have the modern comforts of insulation electricity and warm beds.
