My wife and I rested in this house on the Labour Day . We wrote to the owners in the morning if we could stay with them for 3 nights and soon received an affirmative answer, which we were incredibly happy about. And in the evening we were already there and we were met by very warm and friendly hosts. The house is located on top of a hill with a magnificent view of the ocean. Around only trees and silence and the singing of birds. In the house you will find everything you need for a good rest: a stove, a microwave - oven, a washing machine, a large refrigerator, a coffee machine with capsules. The shower is spacious and the pressure is amazing. The beds are spacious and super comfortable (thank you for taking care of our backs). At the end of the review, I want to note some points that are good to know (but they do not diminish the uniqueness of this house in any way). 1. Parking for only one car. 2. This is still the lower floor of a large house, the owners live on the upper floor, but this did not bring any inconvenience. 3. If you want to walk to the beach, it will take about 10 minutes, but you will have to climb the hill back. We are very grateful for this opportunity to spend our weekend in this place. Everything was amazing. There is a lot of entertainment down on the pier (take more money). Do not miss the chance to visit many historical places, we have fallen in love with Paihia and already really want to return.

Brilliant! A very spacious and comfortable home away from home. We didn't want to leave! The apartment had everything we needed. Sue & Grant were the perfect hosts: left us to ourselves but were there when we needed them. We enjoyed being able to use the BBQ & deck. Paihia is a handy base for exploring the area. Will definitely stay again if we are back in the Bay of Islands. Thank you Sue & Grant.
