Visit Environment Award winning Conservation park Tui Nature Reserve, a remote hide away in a breathtaking world! Enjoy a different lifestyle, on an isolated peninsula, where nature takes over and time is not important.
When you arrive at the wharf in Waitata Bay, we will take you on an exciting ride with a Kawasaki Mule. You will be met by friendly hosts and Weka’s, the curious New Zealand native non flying bird.
The logstyle 'Falcon Retreat' has awesome views! The two cabins are connected by the kitchen area that can be opened up. The 'Falcon Retreat' is built 190 meter above sea level (!), you will really feel part of your surroundings, looking down on bush canopy and the crystal clear waters of the Outer Pelorus Sound.
Explore the beautiful tracks, mature bush and secluded beaches (beginner kayaks available) or just relax on the deck.
Cabin 1 is suitable for 2-3 persons, cabin 2 is for 2 persons and has an ensuite.
The cabins run on 12 Volt solar power and have a mobile phone and laptop charger.

Environment Award winning Conservation Park 'Tui Nature Reserve' is located on an remote 160ha peninsula with breathtaking views! We run an active programme to promote birdlife. We run eco boat tours that can combine your accommodation. The tour includes a guided walk with the ranger where we will explain our conservation efforts and the native breeding programme we run for Kakariki, Geckoes and Giant Weta.

Tui Nature Reserve is in a very tranquil part of NZ with fantastic views and the sound of nature all about you. A media detox-zone too. Marvellous native bush and lovely caring hosts. Probably not great for children as the water is far away ... Read more
