Treetops is a quiet two storied house set amongst native trees with superb views across the lagoon towards bush clad mountains. The beach is very close (within 100m) and house only 3 homes from the entrance to Farewell Spit Reserve and Puponga Farm Park. Very close to cafe.
With superb scenery where you can see seals and penguins, it is a wildlife lovers paradise. For bird lovers there is even a Gannet Colony. Excellent hiking and tramping. Close to sheltered beaches in Golden Bay and the spectacular wild surf West Coast Wharariki Beach (6 km) with seals, Kahurangi National Park (Lord of the Rings fame), plus Heaphy Track and Abel Tasman tracks. Many other outdoor activities include Farewell Spit Safari, horse trecking, kayaking tours and sailing.
Treetops has all basic home amenities including a new fireplace, microwave, VCR, BBQ and outdoor furniture. A 16 ft kayak (2 seater plus kid seat) is available at house (supply own life jacket) plus 3 bicycles.
