This house is one of the best holiday rentals on the Coast and is highly sought after. The house faces due West and boasts all day sun.
The living areas (and three of the bedrooms) are situated upstairs to maximise the sea-views and the warmth from the sun. These second storey rooms have easy access to the decks and balconies (that fully surround the house) to make the most of the 360 degree views of the ocean, Kapiti Island and the Tararua Ranges. The polished wooden floors and Lockwood interior gives a warm holiday feel. There is also a wood-burner and heaps of firewood for the winter months. The house has an open plan kitchen including new stove and new fridge. Excellent views to the sea.
Downstairs has dart board, table-tennis and pool tables, as well as some extra beds, laundry, shower and additional toilet. There is ample storage and firewood stored in the double garage.

Otaki beach has a surf patrol swimming beach (in summer)and beautiful sand dune walking areas. The beach is sandy with a gradual slope which provides safe swimming. Waves are big enough for boogie-boards. The river and stream provide opportunities for white baiting, kayaking and fishing. You are able to launch a boat from the beach directly across the raod from the house. The house is easy walking distance from a restaurant/cafe/bar complex, childrens playground and the seven-day beach store. Otaki town (2 kms) has a Countdown supermarket, library, video hire and takeaways including Fish 'n' Chips, Burgers, Curry and Chinese. On the main road there is a variety of shops including outlet stores - Bendon, Kia Kaha Clothing, Billabong, H&M, Kumpfs, Kathmandu, Shoe Connection, Rembrandt, Hallensteins, IceBreaker, Pumpkin Patch. Local sporting facilities include an 18 hole golf course, Otaki Horse Racing Course, indoor heated swimming pools, and 4 astro-grass tennis courts.
