Many surf beaches in the Opunake area - the National Surfing Championships are held here. Opunake Beach is a delightful swimming beach. Middleton Bay great for boating and fishing. Mount Taranaki is easily reached - half-hour drive away. Opunake has golf course, heated swimming pool, bowling greens, cafe. House is located on the Coastal Walkway.
