Located in a peaceful exotic rainforest garden behind Titirangi Village, The Chalet offers a touch of luxury for those who prefer something a little special with 'chandeliers' and a super king size bed in the Loft bedroom, and a bathroom with a spa bath, shower and underfloor heating.
The open plan living area has satellite TV and stereo. Doors open to a covered wrap around verandah.
The Chalet is twenty minutes (off peak) to the centre of Auckland City.
Opposite is a rainforest trail leading to Titirangi Beach. It is also conveniently located midway between the city and the dramatic west coast beaches of Piha and KareKare (The Piano).
Perfect for a family visit, a romantic escape, visiting professionals or short-term accommodation.
The small guest bedroom downstairs has a double(full)bed. Other amenities include: heat pump (reverse cycle temperature control), stereo, electric blankets, bed linen,(down duvets for winter), towels, clock radios, hairdryer, bathrobes, laundry with washing machine and drier, a well equiped kitchen with cooktop stove and oven, microwave and a fridge/freezer. The Chalet also has a telephone for free Auckland calling,a security system, undercover parking and internet connection by arrangement.
The Chalet offers a romantic hideaway for couples or a cosy holiday cottage for three to four guests.
There is a minimum stay of five nights for bookings made more than two weeks ahead of arrival date. Two, three or four nights can be requested within two weeks of arrival date.
Continental breakfast provisions are supplied for the first day. A supermarket is within walking distance to the village.
The Chalet includes fresh linen and towels weekly or can be serviced by arrangement.
A portacot is available for babies however, The Chalet is not suitable for toddlers.
The Library, Toby's Restaurant and 'Siren' Cafe are a few minutes walk. The 'Zig Zag' track opposite 'The Ferns' leads to Titirangi Beach and picnic area. The Titirangi Market is held on the last Sunday of each month in the Titirangi Hall nearby.

'The Ferns' is easily found within 30 minutes North West of the airport and ideally located in a peaceful rainforest garden close to Titirangi Village, gateway to Auckland's coastal ratinforest park - the Waitakere Ranges. 'The Chalet' is our guest cottage, separated from the main house and nestled amongst giant tree ferns and nikau palms. Staying at 'The Ferns' means there is no need to get back in the car until you are rested after your journey. Toby's Restaurant and the new 'Siren' Cafe is only a minutes walk at the end of the road. Rates: MINIMUM STAY: A minimum stay of 5 nights applies for bookings made more than two weeks to arrival date.
All bookings of more than four nights require
a 50% deposit to guarantee the reservation with the balance due on arrival date.

ONE NIGHT STAY: Offered subject to availability within one week of arrival date. A surcharge of $30 applies for winter season, and $50 during summer (September-April). Payment is made at the time of booking.

'Nightly' rates displayed are for the 'Loft Bedroom' with a minimum stay of two nights'. You are the only guests. The additional fee is for two singles or a third guest. (both bedrooms required)
'Weekly' rates are for a minimum stay of 6 nights for up to three guests (both bedrooms are included and a weekly housekeeping service.)
'Monthly rates are for a minimum stay of 28 nights for two guests only (both bedrooms) A weekly houskeeping service is included with summer rates only, but can be arranged during low season for an additional fee. The Chalet is suitable for two guests only for an extended stay.
For stays of more than 13 nights (September-April) the rate is $165 per night (up to three guests and includes a weekly housekeeping service.

Deposits for reservations over the Christmas holiday period (December-February)are non refundable. Long term rates for more than one month are available on request.
