A short stroll through a rainforest trail takes you to vibrant Titirangi Village in Auckland's hinterland - twenty minutes west of the city and thirty minutes North from Auckland Airport.
It is also conveniently located midway between the city and the dramatic west coast beaches of Piha and KareKare (The Piano).
The romantic Loft bedroom has a superking bed, and the small guest bedroom downstairs has a double(full)bed. The bathroom has underfloor heating, shower, and a spa bath under a bifold window opening out to a lush rainforest garden and the sound of birdsong.
Other amenities include: stereo, electric blankets, bed linen,(down duvets for winter), towels, clock radios, hairdryer, bathrobes, laundry with washing machine and drier, a well equiped kitchen with cooktop stove, oven and microwave and fridge/freezer. It also has reverse cycle temperature control, satellite TV, telephone,a security system,undercover parking and broadband internet connection.
The Chalet offers a romantic hideaway for couples or a cosy holiday cottage for three to four guests.
Continental breakfast provisions are supplied for the first day. A supermarket is within walking distance to the village.
The Chalet is serviced weekly or by arrangement.
A portacot is available for babies however, The Chalet is not suitable for toddlers.
The Library, Toby's Restaurant and the soon to be opened 'Sirens' Cafe are a few minutes walk. The 'Zig Zag' track opposite 'The Ferns' leads to Titirangi Beach and picnic area. The Titirangi Market is held on the last Sunday of each month in the Titirangi Hall close by.
Short stays between two-five nights can be requested within two weeks of arrival date and are subject to availability. A minimum stay of 5 nights applies for advanced bookings (more than two weeks ahead of arrival date). Please check the 'calendar'on this site

'The Ferns' is easily found within 30 minutes North West of the airport and ideally located in a peaceful rainforest garden close to Titirangi Village, gateway to Auckland's coastal ratinforest park - the Waitakere Ranges. 'The Chalet' is our guest cottage, separated from the main house and nestled amongst giant tree ferns and nikau palms. Staying at 'The Ferns' means there is no need to get back in the car until you are rested after your journey. Toby's Restaurant and the new 'Sirens' Cafe is only a minutes walk at the end of the road. Continental breakfast provisions are in The Chalet for your first morning. Rates: For bookings made more than two weeks ahead of arrival date, the minimum stay of 5 nights applies.

The 'weekly' rates are for a minimum stay of 6 nights
For stays of more than 13 nights the rate is $165 per night (up to three guests) and includes a weekly housekeeping service.
The monthly rate is for a minimum stay of 28 nights and includes a weekly housekeeping service.
The Chalet is offered for 5-6 months fixed term lease from May through to November.
All bookings of more than four nights require
a 50% deposit to guarantee the reservation with the balance due on arrival date.
There is a surcharge of $50 for a one night only stay.
Deposits for reservations over the Christmas holiday period (December-February)are non refundable. Long term rates for more than one month are available on request.
