We are very close to the Omori boat ramp for fishing, wake boarding & water skiing or you might want to laze on one of the beaches. Kuratau and Pukawa beaches are close by. Bush walks, native bird watching and fly fishing possies abound in the local area. Sample the local wines with a platter. Mountain hikes such as the famous Tongariro crossing or crater walk on Ruapehu, are a short distance away. There's even a croquet and pedanque pitch across the road - 3 public tennis courts nearby too.
