Walk off the deck onto the sand for a swim, a surf or a fish or walk across the estuary over to the 3.5km long white sandy beach perfect for a therapeutic walk, running, swimming, surfing, kayaking and surf-casting!
White sand tidal estuary perfect for kite-boarding, windsurfing and kayaking and wildlife reserve with amazing birdwatching (no dogs allowed) right on your doorstep.
The over 180 degree views will astound you with a stunning outlook to the waves and ocean through to the magnificent Whangarei Heads north and Langs beach south. (There are no visible neighbours - your nearest neighbour is across the road and at least 500m away).
A hot outdoor shower is nestled amongst the sub-tropical gardens for private showering anytime.
Heaps of outdoor toys and games are available including 3 x kayaks, volleyball, croquet and petanque for an active holiday.
Or come relax on the most comfortable sofas in the world by a huge wood fire in the evening.
The kitchen is really modern complete with stainless steel gas hobbs, brand new electric oven and dishwasher or take the 5 minute drive into Waipu and enjoy the cafes including The famous Pizza Barn & Bar - for eat in or take out.
Waipu is only 123km north of Auckland on SH1 and is a comfortable 1 hour 40 minute journey by car.

Room/bed configuration - Master befroom features 1 x king sized bed, walk-in wardrobe (also great for a portcot!) and ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin. Bedroom 2 has 2 x sets of single bunk beds (sleeps 4). Bedroom 3 has 1 x queen sized bed (and a large walk in wardrobe also great for a portacot!) and Bedroom 4 (small) has a double/single bunk bed combination. Main bathroom features 1 x shower, hand basin and toilet and Bathroom 3 has a bath and handbasin. Portacot also available. The three large bedrooms feature large wardrobes. In addition to the house (and at additional expense) there is a sleep-out which has 1 x queen sized bed + 1 x set of single bunk beds plus 3 x single fold-out beds (which can be used in the house or sleep-out). Main house comfortably sleeps 10 adults/children plus 1-3 infants. A highchair & change table are also available for use in the house.
Wonderful views over to surf beach, Bream Bay and Whangarei Heads. Privately situated down the end of a gravel road on the edge of a wildlife reserve (birds). Great fishing off the rocks 100m away or on the surf beach 150m away. Great surf break. Estuary brilliant for kite-boarding, windsurfing and floundering! Amazing bird watching - NZ Fairy Tern, NZ Dotterel, Godwits (migratory), Variable Oystercatchers etc. 5 minute drive down to Waipu Surf Club in one direction or Waipu township in the other direction. Huge north facing decks for all day sun and large table and heaps of chairs and seating and covered in roof for outdoor entertaining and relaxing. Come and treat yourself!!

Rates: Minimum stay 7 nights xmas/new years period. All other times of year 2 night minimum except for Long Weekends 3 or 4 night minimum. Check in 2pm departure 11am. Night rate includes cleaning upon departure. Bed linen is available for all beds inside house at a cost of $15 per person but feel free to bring your own. 1 x Portacot also available in house for infants at no extra charge. Please bring your own towels. There is also a sleep-out which sleeps 4 -6 people and is available at a minimum of $50 per night or $25 per person for 2-6 people per night. A deposit equivalent to one night's rent is required to confirm your booking and acts as a fully refundable bond upon inspection on departure. The entire rental amount is then required at least 2-4 weeks prior to your stay depending on time of year. The property is also available for functions ie weddings at additional cost. Please enquire.

This is the perfect holiday house. Great house and amazing location. Very private, beachfront location but close to shops, cafe etc. We would highly recommend this house.

Wind Surfing. Boat ramps at Waipu Cove, Ruakaka and One Tree Point. Limestone Caves. Beach horse rides. Market day monthly in the local Coronation Hall. Huge Street Market featuring the local pipe band on long weekends. Antique and Collectibles Fair Easter and Labour Weekend. Highland Games 1st or 2nd January annually.
