Omori is a small settlement on the shores of Lake Taupo, situated between Pukawa Bay and Kuratau. It is an ideal base for winter ski trips to Whakapapa. The Omori boat ramp is 2 minutes drive away. A safe beach and reserve area at the Omori stream mouth is an ideal place for families to swim, have picnics etc. There are a number of lovely bush walks linking Omori with Kuratau and Pukawa. A shop and petrol station is a few minutes walk up the road from our house. A public tennis court and children's playgrounds are nearby. Omori is 10 minutes drive from the Tokaanu hot pools, 15 minutes drive from Turangi, 40 minutes drive from Whakapapa and 45 minutes drive from Taupo.
