Set amongst bush on the shores of the awesome Abercrombie Harbour this property has has panoramic views out over bay. Blob out on the spacious deck or in the comfortable lounge or this well appointed 3 level home and just enjoy the spectacular outlook. The home is north facing and drenched in sun and there is a wood burning stove for winter heating. You can fish, swim or snorkle in the clear clean waters just 40 metres from the house and there is a small rowing dingy for your enjoyment Kayaks can be hired from the settlement in the next bay.
Kotuku Cottage has just about everything. Very comfortable in summer or winger.
Access to this private family cove is by water taxi or a walk along the beautiful foreshore. Or you can row leisurely around in the dingy that is yours for your stay. A small outboard is usually available for hire. There is only one other family home in the cove which may not even be occupied. This is an authentic hard to beat Gt Barrier Island adventure holiday location.

Set on the stunning North West coast of Great Barrier Island just north of Port FitzRoy. The accommodation is one of two houses available in a private cove just 3 mins by water or 20 mins walk around the foreshore from the nearest settlement. Or a leisurely row in the provided dinghy. The north of the island is less developed and you have access to Mt Hirakimate (Hobson), the famous Kauri dams, ocean beaches, hot water springs and wonderful tramps.

Nearby attractions & activities
Hire cars are available and boat trips to nearby fishing and diving locations can be arranged. There is a pub restaurant just 7 kms or so from the road access where you can leave your car or rental. You can fish off the rocks in front of you or snorkel for fish and crayfish all along the coastline.
