Small cosy compact cottage with lake views and direct access to the best little beach on the foreshore at Four Mile Bay. Full sun, private access and peaceful. Top location - run, walk or cycle along Lions Walk or walk to the childrens' playground at Wharewaka Point. Minutes away from boat ramps at Two or Three Mile Bay, Ploughmans Restaurant and shops at Rainbow Point, right on the town bus route or two minutes to Taupo Airport.

Lake views maintained with northerly aspect for all-day sun; level rear section position on waterfront site with path to lake edge below; quiet location away from State Highway, close to waterfront walks, childrens' playground/bbq area on Lions Walk. Ideal for weekends, school holidays or longer stays.

Short drive to store, takeaway food and restaurant/bar. Boat ramp within the bay. Five minutes to most Taupo attactions and amenities eg: flyfishing, boat ramps, Huka Falls, Craters of the Moon, mountain bike runs, bungy and skydiving and day trips to central ski fields.

We really enjoyed staying at Wharewaka Cottage for a second time. The view and proximity to the lake is a big draw card, but we also love the well-stocked bookshelf and games cupboard, and the fire and heat pump to keep us warm. The blossom tree in full bloom was also a spring bonus. Gill is also a kind and attentive host.
