Bring your laptop and use the wireless broadband. Watch 40 inch Sony TV, sky television, listen to great stereo; the kitchen is ready to go with all essential utensils and basics of the pantry (flour, sugar, spices, oils, tea, coffee etc). Smeg oven with gas hobs, dishwasher, microwave.

From the back deck there is a big sheltered and sunny back yard. Outdoor living with a front and back deck.

For musicians the added bonus is a Yamaha Grand Piano.

At sought-after Rainbow Point, this kiwi bach is close to the lake - a 1 minute walk, and 5 minutes drive (5km) from the centre of Taupo or from Taupo Airport.

It's on the lake-side of the main highway, a short drive to the boat ramps at Two Mile Bay and Wharewaka. And it's just a two minute walk to Ploughmans restaurant, dairy and fish and chips. It's on the Ironman run route.

If you don't have transport, you can easily get to Taupo town on the bus which has a stop by the dairy, or experience the Lion's Walk which takes you northbound to town or southbound to Wharewaka.

For snow-skiers, it's 100 kms to Whakapapa or 130 kms to Turoa ski-fields on Mount Ruapehu. Just over an hour by car.

Taupo is a favorite New Zealand tourist destination, offering an array of activities including fishing and boating. Some of the best fishing in New Zealand, especially when it comes to trout. It's hailed as one of the world's last, true wild trout fisheries, you can be sure the experience is as authentic as you could want. There are plenty of local guides who can help you enjoy the best that Taupo has to offer.

If fishing isn't your bag, there are a list of other activities to enjoy here. Great golf courses including the stunning International Wairakei Golf Course. If tramping is something you enjoy, you won't want to miss the chance to enjoy the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, which is one of the country's best one-day walk - there are also lots of short walks through beautiful bush.

Kayaking, and river rafting are just a couple of other fun activities to enjoy in Taupo. Maybe a scenic cruise, or the famed Huka Falls will tempt you.
