A real summer and winter retreat. The beach is beautiful and relaxing, even in the busy summer months. Swimming, surfing, kite surfing, fishing, kayaking, and diving are all a short walk from the house.
The house is quiet and privately situated on a back section. The house has a cosy log fire and plenty of firewood.
It is New Zealand how it used to be. No shop, no telephone, no TV. Bliss.............. Also 20 mins to hotpools and bush walks.

Great location: Quiet and secluded with a 3 minute walk to the beach. House is very user-friendly and felt like home. Everything we needed for our first HH experience - will be back for sure!

Very good fishing beach, swimming beach, walking distance to surf break, hot pools close by, lovely beach walks. Lots of water activities for windsurfers, kayakers, surfers, and just general r and r. Mahia is a great place, part of NZ the way it was. Bush close by, and bush walks 20 minutes drive away.
