Casa Mariposa is a Golden Bay holiday home situated on 8 secluded acres on the slopes of Pohara Valley overlooking the Bay and the mountains beyond.
It is the ideal spot for those wanting to get away from it all with no immediate neighbours. We are situated up on the hill approximately 1 km from the beach with gorgeous views of the ocean and mountains. A private and tranquil spot to relax and enjoy your holiday. The house receives all day sun making it ideal for either summer or winter stays.
Only 3 minutes drive down to Pohara for cafes and restaurants and the store.
Pohara is an ideal base to enjoy Golden Bay , the north west tip of the South Island, with its tranquil waters, golden beaches, crystal clear rivers, majestic mountains and secluded waterfalls all at your fingertips. The northern entrance to the Abel Tasman National Park is just a 15 minute drive with access to the Kahurangi National Park within a 45 minute drive.
The house is fully self contained , bed linen and towels are provided, just bring beach towels. The house has all new beds for a good nights sleep. Furnished with high quality modern furniture with a unique collection of art work through out. A gorgeous outdoor deck and gas BBQ to enjoy dinner over a priceless sunset.
The house sleeps up to 4 people. 1 Queen Bed and 2 singles.
