Nearby attractions & activities
Featherston is the gateway to the Wairarapa and was the hub of activity earlier last century. War Horses were trained on the hills of our neighbours farm for the first world war (the tracks are still visible and used). Museums tell the tale of events and the Prisoner of War camp nearby. We are five km from the base of the Tararua Ranges for hiking and river swimming. Two minutes to start of bush walks. Museums. 12 minute drive in either direction to the vineyards of Martinborough or the historic township of Greytown.
