Enjoy staying in our large, comfortable, and very affordable 4bdrm, 2 storey 1970's retro decor house. It sleeps up to 10 people (8 in beds, and there are 4 mattresses also available - sleeps 8 comfortably, and 10 cosily), and is fully furnished including linen, crockery, cleaning products etc...Its available for holiday rentals from 1 night to several months, as required. 3.5hrs drive from central Auckland.
There is off street parking for up to 3 cars, and good roadside parking (there is a parking bay outside the house).
The house has all mod cons - freeview, microwave, fridge, freezer, wall oven and cooktop stove, heaters, w/m, drier, iron, stereo etc...The house is in a quiet area, 15 minutes walk (2 minutes drive) to the main shopping area - banks, supermarket, movie theatre etc...The house has rural views and it is 5 minutes walk to the golf course. There are two separate outdoor living areas, a BBQ and hangi-pit.

The garden is fully fenced, suitable for children, and features a traditional Maori rongoa (herbal medicine) and kai (food) garden. Pets are welcome .
The house is 20 minutes to the Tongariro World Heritage Park (at 42nd Traverse), 30 minutes National Park, 45 minutes Whakapapa Village, 40 minutes Lake Taupo/ Tokaanu Hot Pools, 20 minutes Whanganui National Park, 30 minutes Pueora National Park. There are too many activites to list - hiking (Tongariro Crossing and lots more), bike trails, 4 wheel drive trails (42nd Traverse), jet boating, skiing, snowboarding, scenery and bird watching - Blue Ducks, Kokakos and Kiwis in the forests, rivers for kayaking (and plenty of canoe hire available), swimming and fishes. Lake Taupo and hot pools at Tokaanu, glow-worms (free) 15 minutes drive from house, golf, Lavender Farm and other cafes. Go pig hunting, deer hunting, goat hunting, use our local knoweldge to find all the spots!

Give laying a hangi a go! We provide the hangi pit, rocks, baskets and firewood, plus local people may be available to assist you in laying it.
You provide the food - traditionally you need pork, mutton, chicken, potatoes, kumara, pumpkin and stuffing....yum...
And if would rather just relax, we also offer a traditional Maori kai menu - you can order a boil up and Maori breads and desserts. You can also order fresh organic vegetables from the garden, including Maori potatoes, corn, kumara, pumpkins, and year round salad greens (please also check availability).
