Manorburn Cottage is in a lovely peaceful country setting right beside the rail trail only a 6km car ride to Alexandra. Enjoy a morning coffee sitting out on the steps overlooking the orchard watching the bikers going down the trail.
The Manorburn Dam is just up the hill where you can kayak or swim in the summer or enjoy ice skating and curling in the winter.
Try your luck at fishing on the Dam or in the Manorburn stream also a great spot to keep young ones entertained, the stream runs alongside the property.
There is no T.V as the setting of this cottage keeps you well entertained, there are plenty of books and games to while away the evenings.

Rates: To keep the rental cost low, people are to supply their own bed and bath linen and it is expected that the cottage is left clean & tidy with all rubbish removed for the next people to enjoy. I have been asked to give a cleaning option, this is $50 if you would prefer to have a cleaning done for you. If linen is to be supplied the hire charge is $70.

Close to Alexandra, ride down the tree lined drive and you are on the rail trail. 1 hour from Queenstown where two ski fields are open from June until end of September. Visit the local wineries and orchards. Alexandra has an 18 hole golf course, Aquatic Center, tennis courts and lovely cafes & shops to browse in. A river trail for walking or biking follows the Clutha river from Alexandra to the historic township of Clyde. A 40min. bike ride down the rail trail brings you to the quaint Chatteo Creek Hotel where you can enjoy a beer, wine or meal sitting in the lovely sun garden.
