Just back from a great weekend away --we all loved Vintners Villa --and hoping to make this a yearly visit
I was standing in kitchen when I arrived Fri -and received a text to ask what the villa was like --best description is as described by Dave Dobbyn in his song --ITS A SLICE OF HEAVEN

Thank you so much for the use of the house - it was lovely - we even contemplated not bothering leaving - but just staying in the garden all weekend - with the occasional run to the nearest wine shop!! We however did manage to propel ourselves out long enough to visit a number of places, I'm recommending the house to everyone - that drive up to it on the first day - it was just like the picture - it was so beautiful and peaceful - and it was really good being just slightly out of town but in easy walking distance.

You are just a short walk, -just 800 metres to the square, for cafes, crafts, and fashion shops. Private gate through to Palliser Estate for wine tasting. Careme Cooking Classes are held right next door at Palliser. Walk back through Nga Waka for lunch at the Old Winery Cafe, and wine tasting down Princess Street. 'Very Martinborough'
