Ashlea Downs is elevated above Takaka Township and provides magnificent views of the Takaka Valley, Kahurangi Park and Golden Bay. Relax in privacy on the deck and watch the sun set behind the ranges of the Kahurangi National Park. The lights of Takaka Township begin to twinkle as night deepens, and the silvery moon is reflected off of the bay. A truly memorable experience.
Tranquillity and privacy are ensured with the cottage being located well away from the host’s home on their 72-hectare dairy/beef farm. Guests are welcome to stroll across the farmland.
Within only a ten-minute drive there are restaurants, cafés, shopping, galleries, a golf course, tennis courts, beaches, marina facilities and fishing. Either of the surrounding National Parks provides many pleasant walking and mountain biking tracks. Nearby rock climbing at Paynes Ford.
The double bedroom has a king size bed and the twin room, king singles. Quality beds are provided to ensure a comfortable night’s rest, and both rooms have magnificent panoramic views. The spacious lounge features a queen size bed/settee for the extra guest in your party, and all rooms have access to the decked area.
There is ample parking, BBQ, TV & video and a log fire for the winter visitors.
