Cute little self contained cottage just 5 minutes North of Warkworth. It has everything you need to make for a comfortable stay. It is fully self contained, warm sunny and tranquil. Luxurious, quality River Nile bedlinen. The cottage is private and separate from the main dwelling but shares a driveway with the owners' residence - the original farm house, a villa which was built in approx. 1906. It is situated on 2acres and surrounded by farmland but only 3kms from Warkworth township. We have free range silky bantams, 2 scottish highland calves and there are often horses in the paddock next door. Lots of birdlife including morepork, pukeko, rosellas, and on occasions the kookaburras can be heard in the trees behind us. Great place for getting away from the city smoke for a romantic weekend for two or for just chilling out and enjoying the many activities available in the area.
Private and quiet with its own deck and bbq. An ideal place for getting away from it all. Close to wineries, cinemas, cafes,retaurants and local weekend markets. There is a golf course 5 minutes away, a choice of safe beaches, Regional Reserves, The Sandspit nearby where you can catch the ferry to Kawau and a horse hire place across the road and we are only 3kms from Warkworth shopping centre. There are 2 bikes available - (a mans and a ladies one) for those who would like to use them.

An ideal place to spend either a long or short stay. Quiet, comfortable, peaceful and tranquil surroundings. The cottage was very well equipped and we both really enjoyed our stay. Susan is a fine and welcoming host.

Just came back from a beautiful relaxing Labour Weekend at this cottage. The bed was comfortable, the surroundings peaceful and the cottage supplied with everything you could need for a great few days away.

Nearby attractions & activities
Matakana for their markets, picture theatres, boutique shopping and cafes. A choice of several Regional Reserves - where you can swim, enjoy one of the many walks or just relax. Ascension Winery is approx. 8 minutes away. There is Tawharanui approx. 25 minutes drive or Scandretts Regional Park maybe 15 minutes drive. The Sandspit is no more than 10 minutes away where you can catch the ferry to Kawau Island or launch your boat. Further afield is Goat Island Marine Reserve and Leigh.
