Close to Hahei, and only an hours drive to Coromandel Town, this cottage is located ideally for you to explore the beauty of the Peninsula. Dragonfly Cottage located on "Dragonfly Farm", a small lifestyle farm,surrounded by the tranquil environment of native bush and farmland. The cottage has a private garden and BBQ area and is a couple of minutes walk away from the Kapowai River and swimming hole, ideal for cooling down on hot days. The play area includes swings and trampoline for the kids.
The cottage offers maximum occupancy for 6, privacy 4, with a cot available for babies up to 24 months; a child friendly envirnoment. One Master Bedroom with Super-king bed, second bedroom with two single beds. The lounge has a top quality sofa bed. One bathroom, with bath and shower. There is a modern self contained kitchen and dining area, with full facilities including oven, fridgefreezer, microwave and dishwasher. The lounge has a part dividing wall, allowing for some privacy for those using the sofa-bed. TV with free-view channels and a DVD are also provided. The rear deck has outdoor furniture for dining and BBQ provided, in a private secluded garden, for those great summer BBQs. There is also a games room with table tennnis, darts, fooseball and freeview tv.
The world famous Hot Water Beach, where you can dig your own hot pools in the sand and enjoy the therapeutic waters is only 12 mins drive away. Hahei is only 15 mins and Whitianga, 20 mins by car. Hahei boasts the beautiful Cathedral Cove, popular as a wedding venue, with shopping, restaurants and the expansive buffalo beach in Whitianga. You will be equipped for an amazing holiday.
Enjoy our lovely swimming waterhole in the Kapowai River, just a few minutes walk away.
Also, visit our friendly animals around the farm. Meet Angel and Holly - our donkeys, Mini P - our Kune Kune pet pig. Hand feed the sheep - Sofia, Georgia and Black Beauty - they love Sheep nuts! Try our fresh free range eggs from our cute chickens.
Our cattle are also really friendly as they have all been hand reared - Caramel, Red, Little Red and Lavender.
You will also be greeted by our friendly dogs Tessa (Black Labridor) Tammy (Lab x ) and Trailer (Fox Terrier) - they love our visitors! If you are lucky you may catch a glimse of Eddie our Silver Tabby cat.
All in all you will have a fabulous time with us - with plenty for the kids to see around the farm, as you chill out in the Cottage tranquil garden.
