Absolute waterfront. No roads, just the garden to cross before you reach the beach and the water! This is the quintessential Kiwi bach getaway!
Off the grid (no electricity), back to basics in the best possible way. Leave behind the telly, the cell phones (if you can) and the stresses of the outside World to while away your days in a true natural paradise! (Oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer and lights run on gas and a wet-back wood burner provides heat and hot water for the shower).
This is the outer Marlborough Sounds, Arapawa Island and boat only access. The bay is only occupied by two other holiday homes - chances are you'll have this part of the Island all to yourselves!
Enjoy fishing, beachcombing, bushwalking and mountain climbing. Or simply kick back and enjoy the sun, the National Radio or a National Geo or two...
Enjoy stream-fed water, board games by candles or books by gas lanterns, fresh seafood straight from the surrounding waters, dusk and dawn birdsong, the inquisitive wekas (no dogs here please) and the challenge of the mountain behind!
Just 30minutes by boat from Waikawa or Picton and zero minutes to Marlborough Sounds paradise!
Travel to the bach by your own boat or by water taxi. A 1t Mooring and 8ft dinghy are provided. Tent sites are also available for large family groups.

Rates: All rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars. Base rates are for 1~2 guests. Extra adults are $30/night, children (under 16) are $15/night, infants (under 3) are free.
Linen is provided. The bach needs to be left as found and all rubbish removed at the end of the stay. Local phone available.
A minimum 20% deposit is required to secure your booking with the remaining rental and a $500.00 bond required prior to commencement of your stay. Payment by bank transfer is appreciated, but Visa/MasterCard can be accepted with a 3% surcharge. Credit card details are required as a bond.
Homebush is ideal for up to 8 guests, but can cater for larger groups.
Please note a minimum 6 night stay applies to bookings across Dec 23 to Jan 4 period, a minimum 4 night stay applies to Easter and a minimum 3 night stay to the Labour and Queen's Weekends. A minimum 2 night stay applies at all other times.
