Huia Whare is located right on the waters edge of New Zealand’s spectacular Lake Taupo in Acacia Bay. The Whare offers couples, families and friends a luxurious haven from which to discover the delights of this astounding area.
This beautifully refurbished 1950's home commands breathtaking views of Lake Taupo and the water edge is just afew steps from the deck. Your own private boat mooring is also available.
Huia Whare is fully self-contained, all linen provided.

Two Kayak's and life vests for exploring around the lake.
A five minute walk to the local bar and restaurant.
Only a five minute drive into town.
Daily servicing can be provided at $100 per day if required.
Guests have a choice of self-catering, or pre-ordering all provisions and having them delivered to the Whare. The groceries will be charged at cost plus a NZ$50 handling and delivery fee.

The Tongariro National Park, sking in winter and hiking in summer is just an hours drive away. The Boat ramp is 3 minutes drive in the next Bay over. Enjoy Taupo's famous Skydiving, Bungy Jumping, Golf, Crater of the Moon experience, Geothermal hot spots. Local shop just 5 minutes walk up the road along with The Bay and Brasserie open for dinners including woodfire pizzas. L'arte, Taupos premiere cafe...just up the hill!
