The Mountain House is a 2 storey, 3 bedroom red cedar 'Alpine" style home that sleeps 8 people comfortably. It has 2 large queen size bedrooms and a bunkroom with 4 adult size bunk beds. The Mountain House offers a large loungeroom with a stylish gas fireplace and 2 heat pumps for instant heat after a cold day on the slopes. It has a fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cultery and glassware for 10 people, frige/freezer, electric stove/oven, microwave and a dishwasher. The large, open plan bathroom and toilet has recently been renovated and a laundry with washer and dryer in the lockable garage - suitalbe for car and ski storage.
Previous guests have described it as "warm and cosy", a "home away from home".
This home has just been recently stylishly renovated including an upgraded kitchen, installing a second toilet and decorating the home throughout.
This beautiful Alpine Chalet is situated only minuted walk into the heart of Methven where you will find its great pubs, restaurants and cafes. Methven is a small village at the base of Mt Hutt Ski field and offers guests a range of activities both summer and winter.

Methven is situated at the base on Mt Hutt,one of New Zealands' best ski fields and amongst some of the best fishing, hunting, walking tracks, golf, ballooning, parachuting, bungy jumping and white water rafting.Methven is definetly a great spot all year round. It offers somthing for everyone. Methven also has a great choice of places to dine & cafes, also small supermarkets for cooking at home.
