My wife and I very much enjoyed the quaint Seafield Cottage and nice rural stay for Napier. It was convenient to the city but still let us take in the rolling hills and gorgeous views. It was so fun to wake up each morning and walk down to the pond to enjoy the fish, or walk over and feed the chooks. The granny smith apples were in season and each morning picking one fresh from the trees was real treat. Sheryl was very sweet and accommodating. We had food and wine on our arrival and it made us feel like were very welcome. We really enjoyed our getaway.

We spent a fantastic 5 days at Seafield Cottage. It was perfect. The cottage had everything. Paul and Sheryl were excellent hosts. we were supplied with eggs, wine, brea, a well equipped larder etc. The garden was quite exceptional as we're the views to the surrounding hills and the sea beyond. It was quiet and peaceful, ideal for a honeymoon couple or a couple of oldies like us. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing holiday in a beautiful location, but not too far from shops etc.

Everything about our stay was blissful! We knew before we arrived that the place would be special but it wasn't until we arrived that we found out how special! Sheryl and Paul are amazing hosts that spoilt us rotten with delicious treats and a gorgeous homely retreat ... we couldn't want for anything while we were here and even cancelled birthday dinner reservations to be able to spend more time in this wonderful spot. So close to all the sights, sounds and activities if the Hawkes Bay yet such a brilliantly secluded spot in the hills with all the sights and sound of nature and of course the Viggers' glorious garden!! Moonrise and sunrise over the sea view is unmissable and a Merlot in the spa definitely went down a treat. We can't wait for our next visit! Thank you so much!

We had a lovely stay at Seafield Cottage - the cottage is beautifully appointed, the food provided for breakfast delicious, the bed is one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in and the views inspiring. The evenings were spent in the outdoor spa looking at the Milky Way and shooting stars. And even though it was mid-winter the cottage was lovely and warm. The whole experience was 5 star - we have found our new go-to place in the Hawkes Bay.

The cottage itself had everything you needed, the best of the best, including local breakfast provisions. Paul and Sheryl gave us complete privacy and encouraged us to enjoy all the place had to offer, including the spa with beautiful mountain views. Seafield Cottage was the highlight of our New Zealand accommodation and I would highly recommend.

This is quite honestly the most wonderful cottage!! We can thoroughly recommend it to you! It was immaculately presented with lots of homey touches. Thoughtfully laid out, finished and stocked. Beautiful linen, towels and natural products. Yummy, fresh provisions and bottle of wine, just begging to be drunk whilst sitting in the spa looking over to the twinkling lights of Napier and out to sea!! Set up on a hill but only a few minutes away from Napier, the views are fantastic and can be quietly contemplated for hours on end! The peace and serenity uplifting. The noisiest thing around were the frogs in the pond singing away!! Sheryl was a delight to meet, a wonderful, warm, interesting woman (unfortunately we did not get to meet Paul). Together they have created a very special little place. Fresh seasonal produce are yours for the picking from their extensive vegie garden and the eggs are laid by their own hens fresh to you! The gardens are laid out beautifully, lovely to wander through and lots of seats, nooks and crannies to rest a while and contemplate a different view! Good memories are made here! Enjoy! We will definitely be returning!! Thank you Sheryl and Paul. Cheers Carol and Dave

We were so lucky to find this perfect cottage with perfect hosts, I would go back tomorrow. Seafield Cottage is in a stunning location with beautiful views out to the sea, gorgeous gardens, pond, BBQ area and outdoor spa pool. We woke up to the sound of frogs every morning and fell in to a very comfortable bed, after a spa, every night. Paul and Sheryl were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. There were so many personal touches that made an already perfect cottage, that much more amazing. We loved it all so much that we have been inspired to recreate something similar in our own family home! There was so much to do around Napier, Hastings and Havelock North that we ran out of time so we will have to go back! Loved meeting you both, we will be back soon. Thanks so much for a perfect wedding anniversary!

We loved staying here - the tranquility, the seemingly brand new but very homey cottage, the view, wandering around extremely well kept grounds feeding the goldfish in the pond and picking vegetables. From this secluded cabin situated on a ridge overlooking an emerald valley, you capture views of sparkling Hawke's Bay in the distance. The hard-working owners of the property, Paul and Sheryl Viggers, encourage guests to pick whatever vegetables and fruits are in season, and the supply of fresh eggs is endless. The cabin is immaculate; the furnishings and finishings are first-rate. We wanted for nothing during our 4 days at Seafield Cottage as our hosts provided all necessities including the ingredients for at least a couple of breakfasts and staples required for basic meal preparation. There is a propane barbeque located next to the cottage. Although the cottage is situated approximately 15 minutes from Napier, we thoroughly enjoyed the seclusion of our location when compared to the noise and bustle of Napier. We toured wineries in Napier and Hastings, some of which are close to the Cottage. Sheryl recommended a chocolate factory and a cheese factory as well as wineries to visit and restaurants in the area. Paul and Sheryl keep a low profile when guests are staying at the Cottage wishing that visitors feel the property is theirs alone. However, when invited, they are a charming and engaging couple to spend an evening with learning about New Zealand and its people. I would unreservedly recommend Seafield Cottage to those travellers searching for a quiet and peaceful retreat while being close enough to the attractions and sight-seeing offered by this lovely part of New Zealand.

Our weekend at Paul and Sheryl's cottage was simply outstanding.

We were visiting Hawkes Bay to attend the Mission concert, which was great but actually we are still talking about our stay at the cottage a week later!

The things we loved about it were the comfortably fitted out cottage, magnificent views and beautiful garden. And of course the wonderfully warm welcome we received from Paul and Sheryl. Without intruding on our space, they made us feel like friends, even driving us to the Mission Concert and collecting us afterwards!

The cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with some lovely luxuries. The bed was seriously comfortable. The bathroom had Sukin products for us to use. Plus Paul and Sheryl's organic garden was available for us to pick fresh produce.

We arrived to a lovely welcome pack - the fridge was stocked with wine, milk, eggs (from Paul and Sheryl's chooks), bacon, mushrooms & bread. The kitchen has all the basics for preparing a meal - flour, sugar, oils, etc. Our treat when on holiday is to eat out as much as possible, so it says a lot about Seafield Cottage that we simply did not want to go out.

Fully recharged now for a return to city life!

PS - If you stay here, don't forget to enjoy a midnight soak in the spa pool one night.

Tony and I stayed at Seafield Accommodation in Napier during March with hosts Sheryl and Paul Viggers for 4 nights. We truly enjoyed our stay at Seafield and could have easily stayed another night or two if we hadn't already made some alternative plans. The accommodation is superb, fitted with quality furnishing and everything you could need is there for you during your stay. On arriving we were immediately made to feel welcome by Sheryl and her labrador companions Georga and Maddy. We were given complete privacy and respect for our space whenever we wanted it, but equally Sheryl and Paul were happy to have a friendly chat about their beautiful grounds and were happy to share their fresh vegetables and chook eggs with their guests.
Seafield is a great place with great people and an excellent escape from a busy lifestyle. I give it 5 Stars and will be returning again.
