• Being located a short drive to many of the Coromandel’s stunning tourist spots such as Cathedral Cove and Hot Water beach, Fishing, boating and diving have always been favourite activities of Pauanui residents and visitors. Easy access to the Pacific Ocean and offshore islands gives Pauanui an enviable number of destinations. Public boat ramps at Royal Billy Point and Pleasant Place give boaties easy access to Tairua Harbour and the ocean. The development of the Waterways also gives residents the opportunity to park their boats alongside their houses with deep water channel access to the harbour.
• If walking is one of the most popular pass times in Pauanui then cycling comes in as a close second. The compact size of Pauanui means that cycling is the perfect mode of transport as you can get anywhere in a matter of minutes. You really can arrive, park your car and not drive it again until its time to leave.
