Akaroa is a historic French style village with a beautiful harbour, excellent restaurants, cafes, crafts and boutiques. Akaroa waters are home to the rarest and smallest marine dolphin. Don't miss seeing the Hector's dolphins and other special wildlife on a harbour cruise. In Flea Bay you will find the largest little penguin colony on mainland New Zealand. Fantastic local 18 Hole Golf Course. Akaroa walks vary from short hikes to all day tramps over picturesque hills. There is so much to see and do in Akaroa that you will need more than a day trip.

Wonderful accommodation and such caring hosts. Ann ensured everything was right before we arrived and Marie looked after us during our 5 day stay. The younger generation was given access to the pool and the the older ones were spoilt with their own space. Just perfect.

Wow!! Lovely cottage.Well appointed but still comfy. We had a weekend that was full on so it was nice to come back to the cottage and relax..Thank you Anne for being so accommodating and going that extra mile to make our stay perfect.
