Nearby attractions & activities

Restaurants are available at the Punakaiki Tavern or the Rocks Hotel, as well as at the shopping area by the Pancake Rocks.

In the village one can hire a kayak to explore the Pororari river. The Pororari River is fishable, both trout and whitebait. A good walking track runs beside it.
