Short walk to relatively calm, child friendly beach.
Relatively flat town for those who are interested in relaxing walks or bike rides. If your keen on a hill trek - the old whale station is at the top of the hill!
Five minutes drive to Karitane - a nice spot for fishing (please enquire if you need gear) or launching your boat! There is also a fishing charter boat that leaves from Karitane.
Nine hole golf course within 5 minutes drive.
Lagoon/Native bird santuary within 5 minutes walk.
Beach Street Tavern/Waikouaiti Camping Ground only 2 - 3 minutes walk around the corner.
