Macrocarpa Cottage is a fully self contained studio unit featuring exposed macrocarpa rafters and ceiling, carpet and tiled floors. It has full kitchen facilities, linen provided, and 18 channel cable T.V. The unit also has its own washer drier. Macrocarpa Cottage is not suitable for children under 7 years. Situated less than 10 metres from the high tide mark of the beautiful Taipa Estuary and overlooking Taipa Beach in the far North. There is safe swimming for children, good diving, fishing and shell fish right at your door step. The Doubtless Bay area offers many restaurants and cafes, local arts, crafts and potteries. There is also a glow worm cave and kiwi house within a short drive. Historical Mangonui village is approx 7 km drive, it has shops, cafes, the World Famous Fish Shop, and historical walks. Visit the many pristine beaches within a short drive. Come and relax at Macrocarpa Cottage.
Taipa is the landing place of the famous Maori navigator, Kupe. Closest accommodation to the water in the area. On a clear day you can watch the fish swim past at high tide. Property has riparian rights and own private shingle beach.
