The cottage is a modern open plan two roomed batch built on a stunning 2,000 square metre very private tree covered section which runs down to the beach. The property enjoys all day sun and views over Wellington harbour. One double bedroom and one small childs room with two beds. Modern kitchen and bathroom with washing machine and all whiteware, small television, and a phone for local calls. There is a BBQ on the large deck and for the brave, a heated outside bath.
Access to the cottage is via a long drive way to a car deck for parking. The cottage is down timber steps from the car deck. Elderly people can manage the steps but not a person in a wheel chair. York Bay is 22 km from Wellington city. There is public transport but a car is useful as the nearest shops are in Eastbourne 3 km away.

Rates: Please call or email for details, rates are negotiable depending on the number of nights hired, the number of people and the time of year. The base rate of $130 per night applies to two adults. Additional adults or children is generally a further $20 per child/or adult per night. During peak holiday periods the minimum hire period is 5 days.

Nearby attractions & activities
The cottage is in York Bay which is part of a series of bays on the eastern side of Wellington harbour. The bays are good for swimming sailing and fishing and there are bush walks and bike rides around the bays to Days Bay and Eastbourne. A ferry sails to and from the Wellington CBD from Days Bay every couple of hours. Busses connect to Lower Hutt and Wellington on a regular basis. The cottage is surrounded by native trees which attract a lot of native birds.
