This large four bedroom traditional Log House is nestled in a sheltered valley alongside the Lake Middelton Reserve. Walking distance to both Lakes Middelton and Ohau and 20 minutes to Ohau snow fields. An ideal place for families with plenty to do for the kids, or a quiet getaway for adults only.
Fully equiped 4 bedroom Natural Alpine Log cabin situated above Lake's Ohau and Middelton and an easy 5 minute walk to both Lakes. This traditional Log house is nestled in a quiet sheltered valley, enjoys gorgeous views of lake, mountain, and forest from every window. Lake Ohau village is the Outdoor lovers paradise with Ohau ski field just 20 minutes away, mountainbiking, alpine tramping and climbing at your finger tips. The fishing is fabulous and in the summer months the lakes also offer a great playground for watersports. 20 minutes from Lake Ruataniwha Rowing Complex. During summer there are two sit-on-top kayaks and two very old mountain bikes for our guests use. If you have a clean well behaived pet, please ask. Linen can be supplied for an extra charge.

Rates & availability
Rates: We charge one nightly flat rate year round for the house, with a minimum of two night stay. Discount may be offered during our quiet season and for 1-3 guests only.

Over the summer months there is plenty to do at Ohau with fishing, kayaking, water sports, hiking and beautiful scenery at your doorstep.We are also only a 20 minute drive from the rowing complex in Twizel.
In winter Ohau snow field is 20 minutes from the Log House and with new snow making facilities offers great skiing throughout the season. The Ohau Lodge at the base of the mountain is a great place to go for a meal or drink in the bar at the end of the day. For non ski days Lake Tekapo is an easy one hour drive and offers an out door winter playground including ice skating and hot pools and the world renowned observatory.
