A lake edge large family home with fabulous views and decking, sleeps 8 people,has a large deep water jetty, a mooring.We dont recommend boat trailer parking behind the house.(please enquire for alternate trailer parking). The house is in a beautiful quiet location on the edge of Lake Tarawera. The house boasts terrific views of whole lake, Mt.Tarawera from the large decks and lounges. The spacious two storey house sleeps seven guests in 4 bedrooms and a spare bed in the large downstairs lounge sleeps the eigth guest.
The upstairs has a double bedroom and small single bedroom,toilet and bathroom,(orginal existing building-but clean and tidy),-the remainder of upstairs is openplan with the kitchen, large lounge,sun room and dining area all flowing out to large decks and BBQ.
The downstairs (fully renovated 2004)has 2 new bedrooms,modern bathroom and lounge with surrounding sunny decks views to lake.
The gardens are mountain landscaped with Tarawera rocks and tussocks.The Lake is renowned as the trophy lake and trout can be caught off the jetty in the Bay
The house has large areas suitable for two families to have their own space or for adults to be upstairs and children to be downstairs.
This is a lovely property with some of the best views available of the lake and gets all day sun.The property is private and day walkers along the local counciil owned walking track cannot see you The views are described as having the Wow factor and the grandstand view etc!!! There is plenty of parking for 5 cars behind the house.Boat and trailer parking on the road please or at Boathouse Bay. Only 60 easy steps down to the water with 18 metre large deep water jetty with a large "L" end on it for sunbathing on or parking the boat. The beach is in a small private safe swimming bay at the bottom of the property with a great jumping rock at the point for the kids.A mooring buoy is available for boats overnight. The house is close to the Buried Village end of the lake (Rotorua town end of the lake) in a small lake front road of 10 houses and the quiteness is wonderful along with the sound of the native bird life.The Landing Cafe is close and the Boat House Bay boat ramp is in next bay along.Although the house has been renovated and is roomy-it retains a feeling of "bach" for a comfy holiday.
