This century old cottage, now tastefully and substantially renovated, is nestled right on the water's edge in the most unique and exclusive of locations.
It offers uninterrupted, stunning views of Moncks Bay, Shag Rock, The Spit, and the Estuary, with a deep water frontage only 5 metres from the lounge windows.
De La Mer gives you the most up to date fixtures and fittings throughout, and exquisitely presented wooden joinery. The ground floor encompasses a state of the art modern kitchen, marble bathroom, and two generous bedrooms - one with views to the courtyard area and garden beyond and the other with an unsurpassed panorama of the estuary and ocean. The mezzanine style plan gives a feeling of warmth and space to the generously proportioned downstairs lounge while a beautiful heart rimu stairway leads you to the two upstairs bedrooms and second bathroom. With stunningly wide windows and a large skylight to frame the view, you could almost believe you were on the bowsprit of a ship in this truly inviting space. One californian king and one queen sized bed furnish the two upstairs rooms, and with two pullout mattresses this area could easily sleep 6 if need be.
Outside, the garden is old and rambling and provides a quiet, private location. The sheltered courtyard area contains a built in barbeque complete with a 10 seater circular wooden table. At the entrance to this property there is a single garage and ample space for offstreet parking.
The Redcliff Village amenities and shops, including a substantial supermarket, are only a minutes walk away and there is a bus stop opposite the gate. Sumner, a popular seaside holiday destination, is a 15 minute walk away along the waterfront. There are many restaurants, cafes and eateries within 5 minutes drive of our gate.
This is the place that offers a totally relaxing, carefree stay. You can lie in bed, watch the sun rise over the sea, smell the salt air, and fish from your back door.

All the above within a 5 minute drive of the property.
