THE RED DOOR OF WILLOWRIDGE , $350 - $395

22 Willowridge, Meadowstone, Wanaka
Ref #: 12847
Our spacious, modern, award-winning holiday home will make a great base for your stay in Wanaka, whatever the time of year. The Red Door of Willowridge is situated in the well-established, quiet area of Meadowstone, on the edge of town, equi-distant in access to both Cardrona and Treble Cone ski-fields. The house is surrounded by a very private landscaped garden. It has mountain vistas all around and a view of the lake. It only takes fifteen minutes to walk or a five minute drive to the lake where walking and swimming is easy, or the shops, restaurants and other attractions that the town has to offer, and even closer to the tennis courts, of which you do not need to be a member to play. The house is stylishly presented, yet is comfortable and functional. It is ideal for a couple and it is brilliant for up to four more friends and family as well.
The master bedroom suite is at the front of the house, very private. There is a king bed, with quality linen and a luxurious ensuite with an extra large shower, two vanities and a toilet, underfloor heating, and a heated towel-rail. The guest suite is at the other end of the house. There is another bathroom and a separate toilet for the three bedrooms to share. This bathroom also has an extra large shower, plus a bath, underfloor heating and a heated towel-rail.
BEDROOM 2 has a queen bed, again with quality linen, with french-doors that lead to its own sun-drenched patio in a secluded garden with cafe-table and chairs to enjoy the view of the lake.
BEDROOM 3 has a queen bed and BEDROOM 4 has twin beds that can be converted to a king bed and if so, there is appropriate linen for that. All beds have electric blankets, plenty of pillows and all beds will be made up for you before your arrival.
The open-plan living-dining-kitchen space flows out onto a garden courtyard with outdoor furniture and shade awning for summer dining. A gas-flame fire in the living-room adds an extra cosy ambience in winter, although the ducted heat pump system provides ample warmth throughout the house. The kitchen is the natural heart of the house and is well-equipped for everything from simple holiday cooking to sophisticated entertaining. It has all the mod cons - dishwasher, microwave, water-filter.
Outside, there is a gas BBQ that can be used in any of the three outdoor living areas. There is a separate media-room which has a flat-screen TV with SKY, including the Rugby Channel, and a DVD player. The study has great views of the hills surrounding the area. There is a telephone for local calls. The laundry is a dream, spacious and with storage and with immediate access to the clothesline. There is a new front-loading washing-machine and dryer and plenty of bench-space. An integral(internal access) garage provides parking for one car and space for ski and sport equipment. There are racks for skis and a drying rack for clothes if needed. There is additional parking space for a car and boat on the forecourt.
This beautiful area is renowned for boating, fishing, walking, rock-climbing, biking, golf (the golf-course is two minutes drive away), wineries (Rippon & Mt Maude), skiing, great cafes and restaurants.

Great house, all the facilities we needed for a winter holiday. Lots of space, quality furnishings and nicely decorated. The drying room was great and beds very comfortable.

Nearby attractions & activities
Town is close, as is access to the lake and all its activities. The sun leaves this side of Wanaka the last thing in the day. Wonderful hikes and walks all nearby.
