Early 1900s character bach on a quiet secluded site right in Tolaga Bay township, only 5 minutes walk to beach and Uawa river mouth.
Double bedroom with single beds in living room and kitchen, (ideal for an afternoon nap or for two extra guests at a pinch). You need to provide your own sheets, pillowcases, towels etc, or these can be hired for an extra $10 per person per stay.
Discovery Cottage is NOT suitable for very young children. There’s safe space to pitch a small tent for the kids, but please discuss this with us first, as the one and only toilet and small kitchen cannot cope with a full-scale teenage encampment.
Filled with art and artefacts from around New Zealand and the Pacific, the interiors of Discovery Cottage are restful and inviting. Very close to 9 hole golf course, all that’s needed for a relaxing holiday in this special part of Aotearoa.
Equipped with solar water heating, simple kitchen facilities (with fridge freezer, small electric stove and microwave), and a Champion wood stove for heating (complete with oven for the adventurous cook), Discovery Cottage is cool in summer and cosy in winter. Verandahs catch both morning and afternoon sun; shady corners and secluded suntraps in the garden.
