With astounding views of the central North Island volcanoes This one roomed hut (plus bathroom and entry porch) has been fitted out in a rustic style to re-create a feel of the early days of NZ. It is very quiet and peaceful and on the same property as Wood Pigeon Lodge - 'The Barn' and is 25 minutes from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, skiing at Mt Ruapehu (the largest ski area in the Southern Hemisphere) and 5 minutes from the cafes of National Park village. We have positioned The Hut to take in the wonderful views of the mountains and fitted it out to resemble early pioneering houses but without the inconvenience of that era!
While 2 is an ideal number there is space for 2 others. You are welcome to use our washing machine and clothes line which is near-by.
