An idyllic cottage situated in the Motueka Valley just off State Highway 6. A farm setting on 110 acres. Private accommodation where you can hideaway surrounded by trees and birds.
Ideal fishing retreat and a great swimming hole. Escape to a peaceful spot and during your stay visit Nelson Lakes National Park or Kahurangi National Park. Why not visit Nelson city or the Motueka township? (which are all about 45 mins drive).
We are centrally located to all of the above which are full of opportunities for the holiday maker.
If you are not into fishing then perhaps a game of golf at the local Golden Downs 9 hole course (a 10 minute drive away.)There is horse trekking , wine tasting, potteries, hunting, kayaking and much more. Or simply just relax and enjoy the surroundings of Hidden holiday cottage.
We have just installed Freeview for those rainy days.
The local village of Tapawera is a 5 min drive where you will find the Information centre, a Four Square shop,and a Mobil service station.
*The 'loft' is accessed by ladder which takes you to the 2x single beds (not suitable for very young children).
** Please note that we now have a cafe,gift shop and sculpture garden on the property too which showcases the saw blade sculptures of David Carson amongst others.
Open from Labour Weekend to May. Also home to the studio of artist award winning Lisa White
(Previously called "Sallagh Holiday Cottage"- we have changed the name as the cafe is now known as "Hidden Cafe" which is easier for people to remember and spell!)

A beautiful, comfortable and very private spot. we had an awesome stay. the hosts were extremely welcoming and the cafe was a real treat! thank you Rachel & David for such a treasure!! Highly recommended by our whole family!
